Program Description

Event Details

What does it mean to persevere through difficult times? Teens ages 11-18 are invited to join writer and educator Gloria Muhammad to learn about processing your experiences through poetry.

When we're surrounded by challenges, it’s important to check in to our emotions and find a way to redirect them. Using swimming as a metaphor, explore what it means to persevere. What do your "strokes" look like when life is challenging? What does perseverance look like to you? How do you carry on and endure during hard times while maintaining strength and purpose?
