Read & Return Collections

Read books at your own leisure, no library card required. When you are finished, drop them off at a bookdrop, the Bookmobile or library for easy returns.

Mobile Services Update – December 2025

We’re excited to share that a brand new Bookmobile is in the works! Building a safe, accessible vehicle is a big project, so it will likely take more than a year to be ready.

We won’t let that wait time mean lost service. Thanks to our community partners, Library District staff bring the library into community spaces throughout Jefferson County each week. Look for the Library District's fun, new eVan at your usual stop. Port Ludlow patrons can find us at the Bridge Deck, located at 21 Harbor Drive, on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. 

Right now, the eVan allows us to reach people—but it’s working harder than it was built to. Please consider donating to help keep library access strong for everyone. With your support, we can upgrade the eVan so it can serve more people, more safely and more efficiently. Donate now
