We’re focusing library funds where they serve the most people.
To better support the services our community uses and loves most, Jefferson County Library District will stop offering hoopla on November 8. Any items you’ve already borrowed will still be available until they expire.
Unlike personal streaming services, hoopla bills the Library each time an item is borrowed—not just once for adding it to our collection. This “pay-per-borrow” system can cost much more than purchasing the same item for shared use through our other services.
By redirecting those funds, we can invest more in the digital and physical collections that reach the greatest number of people—expanding access for everyone in our community.
You can still explore a wide range of media through your Library:
- Find thousands of DVDs, audiobooks, and music CDs through the Library District's CLEO Catalog.
- Download eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more through the Libby App or the Washington Anytime Library.
- For materials we don’t own locally, Request an Item through Interlibrary Loan.
