Important Message:

We are sorry to announce that our Bookmobile was in an accident, and it looks as if it will be declared a total loss. Most importantly, the employees involved are safe and unharmed. They’ve been checked on and are being supported. 

In the coming days, we’ll begin assessing next steps for outreach services and vehicle replacement. It’s too soon to know the full timeline, but we will keep you informed as plans develop.

This is a big loss, but it’s one we will recover from together. Please join me in expressing appreciation and care for the Bookmobile team. We are so grateful that everyone is okay.

Teen Photo Show: Game On!

Event Details

Photographers ages 11 to 18 are invited to enter the JCLD 9th Annual Teen Photography Show. This year’s theme is Game On!, which focuses on puzzles, games, and all playful things! 

Submission deadline: Sunday, May 18.

Submit photos using our Online Entry Form.
You may also drop your images off at the library or the Bookmobile.

Four (4) $50 gift cards will be awarded. Judges will select three favorites for composition, innovation, and sense of story. Voters will choose a final “People’s Choice” award. Each participant will receive personal feedback from our judges about their photographs.

Rules:
● The photographer must be 11 – 18 years old.
● Slight digital adjustments are allowed.
● Each participant may submit 1 or 2 photos.
● Print size no larger than 14 inches.
● Photos may be black & white or color.
● Each photo must be acceptable for public viewing by all age groups.

Voting will take place May 20 – 26.

The winners will be announced at a reception at the Library on Thursday, May 29, from 4:00 – 4:30 pm.
