Songwriting Works™ creates fun, empowering musical experiences for people living with memory loss and their care partners. Designed to support well-being and spark brain activity, this workshop allows people to connect with one another, and discover easy ways to express themselves through music. Join award-winning songwriter Judith-Kate Friedman as we spark memories, share stories, lift our voices and write a song.

Co-sponsored by Songwriting Works™, East Jefferson Memory Cafe, the Port Townsend Arts Council, and the Jubilation Foundation.

Award-winning vocalist, producer, and composer, Judith-Kate Friedman draws on folk, jazz, blues, and choral traditions to work with individuals of all ages and compose hundreds of songs. She has trained and collaborated with numerous Jefferson and Clallam county residents, and their songs are featured on the album “Life’s a Song” which will be highlighted at this event.
