Celebrate Black History Month

Black History Month Banner

During Black History Month, the Library District celebrates Black stories and voices—past, present, and future.

Black history is not a single story. It is a collection of voices filled with resilience, creativity, joy, struggle, and brilliance. Libraries are spaces where these stories are preserved, shared, and discovered, offering opportunities to listen, learn, and reflect.

Join us as we honor Black authors and storytellers and recognize the power of stories to help us learn, understand one another, and build community—not just this month, but all year long.
