Class Schedule 

Join us on Tuesdays for a free, one-hour technology class. Classes take place at the library or at the Community Center in Quilcene.  After each presentation, you're invited to stay and work with a staff member to receive individual assistance with your computer or handheld. Bring your own device or ask to borrow one of ours.

How to use Google Office
August 22 - 3:00 pm at the Library 
(Drop-in Assistance 4 - 6 pm)
Do your best work using the apps that comes with your Google account. Explore the basics of Google Docs, Sheets and Slides and learn how to make your documents accessible to others.

Drop in any time between 4:00 – 7:00 pm and get personalized help with your technology questions.

How to Download Library eBooks
September 5 - 3:00 pm at the Library (Drop-in Assistance 4 - 6 pm)
September 12 -  2:30 pm at the Quilcene Community Center (Drop in Assistance 3:30 - 4:30 pm)

Discover various titles of eBooks and eAudio books available through your library.  Learn how to prepare your computer or device to enable downloading the titles you wish to read or listen to, and how to check-out and return the books you borrow.


How to Open a Facebook Account
September 19 - 3:00 pm at the Library (Drop-in Assistance 4 - 6 pm)
Create your own Facebook account and navigate through basic settings. Learn how to add pictures, send friend requests, like pages, and more. 

Apps and Online Resources for Relaxation
September 26 - 3:00 pm at the Library (Drop-in Assistance 4 - 6 pm)
Healthy habits can protect you from the harmful effects of stress. Learn how to relax and reduce the stress in your life with some great online resources.

Learning Express and Rosetta Stone 
October 3 - 3:00 pm at the Library (Drop-in Assistance 4 - 6 pm)
Discover two great online resources available for free with your library card. First, we’ll explore Learning Express, a research tool that helps you prepare for a job interview by building resumes, cover letters, and more. Then, we’ll demonstrate Rosetta Stone, which provides language courses for 30 different languages.

Math and Science Apps
October 17 - 3:00 pm at the Library (Drop-in Assistance 4 - 6 pm)
Brush up on your math skills and science knowledge using your tablet or smartphone. This class will explore several fun and educational science and math apps for Apple and Android devices.

Introduction to Nextdoor.com
October 24 - 3:00 pm at the Library (Drop-in Assistance 4 - 6 pm)
Nextdoor is the private social network for your neighborhood.  Pete Hubbard, Staff Assistant (Volunteer) for Jefferson County Department of Emergency Management (JCDEM), will walk through navigation of the website, settings, posting, private messaging, and the Public Agency channel where Pete forwards JCDEM NIXLE messages and information to prepare for emergencies and/or disasters.
