Book Club KitsBook Club Kit 2

Book Club Kits are an exciting new service offered by Jefferson County Library and Port Townsend Public Library.

What are they?
Book Club Kits are checked out to a representative of a book club.  Ten copies of a title are packaged in this plastic tote  The representative that checks out the kit is responsible for returning it with all ten copies.  The kits will be checked out for eight weeks
allowing plenty of time to distribute and read the book. When the you distribute the books, please  write down the member's name and contact information on the back of this sheet. Each copy is numbered one through ten to help you keep track of who has which copy.  Please note, books should be returned to you, not to the library.

How do clubs reserve a title?
For a list of titles search ‘Book Club Kit’ using  the subject field in the library catalog. The book club representative who will pick up the kit may place a hold on a Book Club Kit title.

While we recognize that some clubs plan their reading schedules months in advance, we are not able to schedule holds on titles into the future at this time.  Holds can be placed and put in a suspended status to help manage availability.  If you would like help please ask a staff person.

Book Discussion Group @ Your Library

All are welcome to sign up for our monthly book discussion group. The group meets the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  You can attend as many sessions as you like. Copies of the book will be loaned by the library when you sign up.  Participants are asked to read the entire book before the scheduled session.  If you have any questions call the library.
