Volunteers

The Jefferson County Library values its many volunteers and welcomes additional support. The Library relies on its volunteers to provide support and assistance in areas that enhance service to our patrons. Volunteers are intended to support regular staff and existing programs.

Volunteers perform a variety of tasks. In order to make their volunteer experience meaningful, a good deal of effort is made to match a volunteer's skills with an existing volunteer opportunity. Some of the current tasks our volunteers assist with include shelf reading, mending books, and sorting and straightening the magazine collection.
