Internet Filter Error Reports

Please use these forms to report errors with the Internet filter:

Request to Block a Website
(Site is sexually explicit and should be blocked by the filter)

Request to Un-Block a Website
(Site is not sexually explicit and should not be blocked by the filter)

In compliance with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the Jefferson County Library uses Websense filtering software to block access to sexually explicit websites. All Internet workstations in the Library are filtered. If an adult, 17 years or older, would like unfiltered Internet access they may choose that option by asking a Library staff member for assistance.

The Websense filtering database is updated nightly. However, because millions of web pages are added and changed on the Internet every day, it is impossible for any filtering software to identify and block all sexually explicit websites. It is also possible for the filtering software to mistakenly block a website that does not contain sexually explicit material.
